Broadband for Seniors Kiosk PDF Print E-mail

Bathurst Seymour Centre hosts a Broadband for Seniors Kiosk. Our kiosk provides access to two computers with broadband. Seniors from the Bathurst Regional Area can access these computers at no cost.

This project was funded by the Australian Government to:

Provide seniors with free access to computers and broadband internet

Support seniors to gain confidence to use new technology by providing free online training and individual training

Address the issue of seniors feeling isolated and ‘left behind’ in a technological age

Build community participation and social inclusion among seniors.

Who can use the Broadband for Seniors Kiosk?

You don’t have to be a client at Bathurst Seymour Centre to use these computers – this service is for any senior person aged 60 or more from the Bathurst Regional Area.

It is best to phone us to make sure there is a computer available. Our phone number is 6332 1449. You can also book in advance if you want to.

If you are new to using computers or if you want help to learn new skills we can arrange a free volunteer tutor to help you. You will need to let us know so we can arrange this for you.
